I started a blog back in 2006. It was called Dog Hair on my Pillow. And this is why:

See the one on the left? Yeah, big proponent of sitting her fat hairy dog-ass near my pillow, creating tumbleweeds of long white hairs. I liked using the metaphor that even though you try to keep a clean life, you can't escape a little dog hair on your pillow.
But I couldn't find my niche. Was I a food blogger? I loved food. Was I a book blogger? I loved books. Was I just a nasty crazy blogger? I can be nasty crazy.
So I stopped writing.
But then in 2007, we left for the wilds of the Middle East and I started another blog, Traveling Marshalls.

Here's me doing the robot with the Jordanian flag in the background when I was still skinny (WW Try #1).
We had a great time. My blog became nasty crazy again, so I shut it down. The Hubs and I had a good time not being addicted to our ridiculously slow internet and had fun cooking, eating, traveling, etc.
But then in the middle of the night, I was whisked away to give birth to this gorgeous creature.

I started a new "blog" over at Caring Bridge. But when he got out of the hospital, I started taking pictures of him over at Potato's Place.
I came home. I gained 30 lbs (out of stress and lots and lots of Chipotle burritos). And I was sad.
So I started Traveling Marshalls all over again. And here you are, learning about our lives. The writing makes me feel better. I'm on Weight Watchers for the 2nd time. And I am going to try and do it right.
So how did you start blogging?
